Standard weight, standard size. Who said anything about fancy ones.
Could be clutch. Could be slipping belt. Could be that youve got the wrong powerband in the engine.
Variator is located inside the belt housing on the side of the engine. Purchase a haynes manual or get a workshop manual from the interweb.
But seriously, dont fuck with anything you dont fully understand without the correct tools. Take it to a dealership or bike shop.
And that sig is asking for abuse! ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

You should get these parts from a breakers yard for less then half the price of new, just ask how many miles they have on them, the guy I go to would say (I pulled this from a bike with less than 5k miles on it). It would be a good idea to replace the belt as well because as it wears it changes the gear ratio slightly. If your rollers have developed flat spots this may also affect your top speed so pick up some replacements, new not used. Replace the spark plug, clean the carb and it's jets, remove the exhaust and get ride of any carbon build up on the end that connects to the engine, pump up your tires, and if it's still slow then your probably going to need a new clutch system, Either that or it's actually a 50cc engine.. |
LOL wot? Engine rebuild with second hand parts? A quick look suggestion you can get a new Cylinder/piston for Less than £90. It doesn't need it by the sounds of it. I'm not scooter expert but if it is pulling to a point then revving up with no more acceleration it is a problem on the drive train, something is slipping, clutch or the belt. ____________________ Well, you know what they say.
