 |
|
Sorry for another thread but I think it would be hard to ask this in my existing thread and get an answer as people have read it and some may not see the comment further down the page .
Anyway, to my understanding speedfight 100ccs are not restricted but after talking to a few people at uni and after googling it ive found multiple sources that are saying there is a washer near the drive belt and some other places are saying there is other restrictions.
Can anyone confirm this? I mean this is a forum mostly full of bike experts who will of migrated from a scooter at some point so if anyone will know its one of you guys.
It just seems like its a bit of a myth as some people are like yes there is some are like no theres not and some are unsure im just really really confused.

This is the one that needed re-jetting for the new exhaust and you ran it with the exhaust hanging off for a year??
Peds are slow. Peds with lots of weight are slower. Lay off the pies and the top speed will increase, or do as i did and choose takeaways and a full licence
Nah really, just sell it - it wont do more than it does without some serious £££ spent on it. ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

And even then not for very long!
The 100cc's aren't restricted as they don't produce enough BHP to even get near the learner legal limit. It's only 50's that are restricted.
Well, that's not technically true, there's probably an electronic 'restriction' (rev limiter) in the CDI but you'll never get anywhere near it.
Just sell the thing, do your test and get a proper bike if you want to go faster then 50, and that's an indicated 50 (probably more like 45 ish). ____________________ Former: Derbi GP1 50, Sachs XTC 125, Suzuki GSXR 400 GK73A, Kawasaki ZX7R, Suzuki DR250, Yamaha RD350

Dont waste money on the fancy pipe.
Get a stocker from ebay or a bike breakers, sell the bike, fancy pipe money + bike money + some savings = 125, with a manual box.
This drive belt, big carb, fancy pipe and variator weights is all a load of shite, and a bone stock cg125 at a cost of £500 would STILL outrun it!
Waste of time, money, effort and my thumbs explaining this to you for about the tenth time over three topics!! ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

Way to respond to all my points.
No, im not sure it will seize, but I can almost guarantee its running lean and thats not good. No offence intended, but your uncle sounds like a bit of a pillock. I don't think he understands how two strokes work, and if he thinks he does then he needs to read up. ____________________ Former: Derbi GP1 50, Sachs XTC 125, Suzuki GSXR 400 GK73A, Kawasaki ZX7R, Suzuki DR250, Yamaha RD350

Your uncles clearly a dickhead then. More air in, more fuel air mix out and we dont need to add any extra fuel to keep the ratio the same?
Like i said, performance pipe money + the £400 for selling the bike is enough to get a tatty cg which would still be faster. Expect to spend around the £300 mark to be able to do 65mph.
Jetting is hit and miss, trial and error. On a standard bike someone might be able to help by looking for stock carb setup, by playing with it we have no idea! ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.
