hi all.got me self a new little project.its a 1983 honda cb1100f.its going to be a long project as i dont want to rush it and settle for half measure's.im planning on getting it near enough back to original except the front head light.i hate them so going to go with a single round head light and maybe bandit style clocks.not sure on handle bars yet, might be thinking straight renthals for awesomeness Smile anyway did a little stripping tonight, took carbs off so there going to have a good clean 2moz,drained the oil then filtered it through an old towel and thankfully there was no shrappnel in there.also tested the electrics to make sure when i come to start it,it will atleast try.thankfully the instrument cluster with the starter button on is none existant.otherwise i dont think i will have been able to resist.anyway here a few piccies..oh and the last tax disc was from 2004 Smile

carbs nearly cleaned just got one pot left to do..decided im going to get it running so i know it atleast starts, then strip it down and get it in the loft (the loft hatch is huge Smile ).and there it will stay until i have the time and money to rebuild it to a decent standard.been talking to alot of people recently and all have said the same .."dont sell it what ever you do as there are super rare".

my knowledge of bikes is still in a immature stage and the last thing i want to do is ruin this with my wild imagination.so im gonna put some money aside every now and then and in a few years get it out and get it to a decent, fully original (bar the headlight as i despise it and no amount of maturaty will change that) and nice looking condition.

ill update more when i have got it running and ill add some pictures of stripping it as im sure stripping a 1983 bike (which has been from what i can tell pretty untouched) will be a absolute nightmare and ball ache for me...which makes it interesting for everyone else Smile

Couldn't have read more than 20 words before I gave up and just looked at the pics.
Sentences and paragraphs are your friend, use them Thumbs Up

The bike looks to be fairly solid under it all Thumbs Up
