 |
|
Hi all,
Just recently bought a Kawasaki KE125 to fix up. The ignition coil was damaged so i tried to find a replacement, however, the only available ignition coil was from a KE175. Would this produce more spark? Could this possibly be damaging to the spark plug and burn it out quickly? Will it work?
Thanks for all your help |

It wont be damaging the sparkplug. I would say as long as it's off a bike with the same voltage, you should be fine.
Is it points ignition or CDi?
If it's points and you're burning out sparkplugs, check the gap and consider replacing the condenser. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

It is point ignition, but from where i've read, the KE175 is CDI ignition. Would this matter? Would it also matter if the bikes are different voltage? Im not very familiar with the ignition system as you can probably tell |
