Get rid of those bars and throw a set of low clip ons on it and cafe racer it and it would look great.

I really like it, especially as an in-house design/potential production bike (yeah right!).

A wide range of something, can be applied to anything, taste in anything, age, race, gender.
A range of something 'diverse' if you like

It's okay. I've had more confused looks - trust me.
Some lass asked what's diversity in my business lesson once,
and I quoted the 'wooden ship' line, got some weird looks.

No idea why but I freaking love it.

It's probably some kind of optical illusion, but is the brake pedal mounted on the side of the cylinder? That would melt my boots.

Of course it would never appeal to the average rider, who's only aspiration is to ride around on a good bike that doesn't cost the earth and is easy to service/fix up.

"Edited for Accuracy", as they say.

There's generally a reason you see a lot of people riding the same bike - because they're good bikes.

At any enduro event you'll easily find half the field at least on KTMs. For a reason - they make very good bikes. I'll happily pay extra for a KTM myself, because I know that not only are they good bikes, but if I need a part, they are generally pretty easy to come by.

Does your arrogance know no bounds.
How many BMW's have you owned out of interest ?
I've owned quite a few.
Could you be more specific about them costing the earth to fix up.
Cheers

Never said otherwise, but it's a shame that there is this car mentality, where everyone just follows the heard.

I've owned one BMW bike and two BMW cars.

I was not referring to BMWs however, but one offs, custom bikes etc.
Because, of course; if it was a popular model that sold loads, it would just be another 'sheep' bike.

In the arena of car enthusiasts, plenty of people go for different, also modifying their normal cars to be different.
Even more for bikes - where I find for many, many people the act of owning a 'different' bike is far more important than the act of enjoying riding their bike for the riding pleasure.

I do have to admit, never really been a fan of BMWs, but this is really nice.

Even from behind!

But i'm not too sure about the seat.... no fairing behind.... no pillion seat...

the only thing that lets it down is the rear end, more specifically the way it just stops at the seat, a little bit of mudguard would look a bit neater
