On my R1, I just batter the axle nut up with my Gun. 240/250nm or so?
Probably way too tight, but meh, it wont come undone. |

Not really... That's what the internal spacers are for. And contrary to belief, a torque wrench isn't worth its weight in shit unless it's calibrated regularly, which any home wrench won't be.
I'd never use one on something like a wheel spindle, or even any bike with less than 3 cylinders. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. In summery, mattsprattuk is a gobby little sh1tebag, dopehead tw4t, but sadly for all of us, he probably isn't THAT full of sh1te!!

I've never bothered with a torque wrench. Tighten up till if feels right.....not as tight as possible unless you want to strip and mangle all your fixings ____________________ 2012 Sinnis apache |

My tw gets calibrated every 2 years which for me is far less than the 5000 cycles recomendation,I always torque up as per manual specs and have been for er lets just say many moons prefering to go with how the manufacturer recomends things to be done, and in er many many moons of restoring ,building fighters ,customs and race bikes, it hasnt let me down ,but as the saying goes'each to their own ' and all that ____________________ Wheels polished and painted £90 a pair all in ..........bargain! |
