Is it your barrel playing up?

If so, the dip the key in some oil and push it in and out a few times and repeat 2 or 3 times. Mine would never go down far enough to engage the steering lock until I loosened it up like this.

Is it a full complete part?

Based on that if it is then a couple of bolts undone would sort it.

You had a glance anywhere else?

Some ignition switches get to that stage where replacement is the only way.

Strangely,Wemoto do not specify a switch for the Fazer 600,but M&P do

https://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?catref=508769&tier1url=Spares&tier2url=Ignition-Switches&tier3url=Economy&tier4url=Ignition-Switch

When I last had to replace a switch there were some security bolts in place with very strong threadlock. In the end I had to drill the heads off and use a stud removal tool to get the remains out of the top yoke.

Also, don't forget that if you replace the ignition, that means you will have to have 2 keys - 1 for the ignition, 1 for your seat lock.

I have a Fazer, and also thought id need a new ignition, as I couldn't get my steering lock to initiate. Thankfully the 'dipping in oil' trick, and finding the sweet spot for the steering lock now means i'm fine.
