I cannot do it no matter how much I try and it's so hard to give yourself feedback as you cannot see what you're doing. I'd just really love to go to a place that teaches you how to position yourself and build up your confidence to getting your knee down.

Thanx.

Read/watch twist of the wrist, book a track day and learn at your own pace.
Or google your nearest track and see if they have any course's.

Its a hard thing to explain in writing but you could practice body position and turning speed if you got an industrial estate near you or some place that's got round abouts where the road is faily quiet? Like tixylix says a track day is the best place, no worries then and you will probably find it will just happen plus you can tap up the other guys n girls for tips

A local quiet roundabout - maybe a business park/industrial estate one on a Sunday.

If you had your location in your profile, you might be lucky enough to find someone local willing to give you some pointers in person while watching Thumbs Up.

Presuming you've got good tyres and a good surface, it's a case of being smooth and increasing your speed a little at time with the right body position.

Being flexible of course helps as it means you can stick your knee out further.

Correct position is one cheek off, torso pointing off more so your head is 'kissing the mirror' as they say. Then stick your knee out Smile.

I did this.

it doesn't really have much benefit being able to do it on road OP...Get yourself a track day and you will learn to be alot quicker without needing to even Knee down Smile

A point to make is stick your knee out and back, not down.

I disagree.

That I learnt to push the limits in an even safer environment (roundabout) meant that when I got on a trackday I was happy doing the same.

I still practice body positioning on the road; including when I was racing on track every other weekend.

That's a fair point and I agree in a respect with what your saying. Being able to KD on the road meant I could go on track and do it aswell but with more confidence and focus more so on my body position.

All I meant with what I said is that some people try and focus to much on getting there knee on the deck than whats going on from time to time.
