So following on from my previouse post about being knocked of my bike. which was only 4 weeks ago i have already been paid out for the bike and get it back on thursday.

it was a cat c write off but only needs a wheel and few silly bits which iv already got ready to go back on,am i right to think i can fit these parts and tax the bike as it ran out last week then i can carry on riding it?

no need for a new mot as it hadnt expired.

no need for any vosa inspection.

A Motorbike does NOT need a VIC - ever - it only applies to cars.

A Cat C motobike write-off can be repaired by anyone and the only issue is what the insurance company require before they will insure it. Usually they require a new MOT done and that is all.

As for value - Its an unknown, as a well repaired CAT C that only had cosmetic damage would be as good as a non written-off bike...

Tax online, if it allows you to tax, it has MOT...if it doesnt, MOT and bosh Thumbs Up

well thats all gravy baby just phoned the claims people i went to as i dint use my own insurance ,they were due to pick courtesy car up thursday but i want bike back now so there coming tomorrow

what they will do about the 61 plate fiesta they gave me that someone crashed into is still a guess, and as i didnt go through my insurance and im stil paying it i suppose il just carry on as i were.
