I would love to know this too, as my NSR is doing the same thing, it's really flat around 6000-7000rpm and struggles to get past this, once it does it starts moving again?

Solved my problem with a new battery, guess the spark was going very weak around that range.
New battery and a charge, minor hesitation (think they all do that) but otherwise 99% better.

the battery IS NOT RELATED WITH IGNITION as you can get started with a flat battery . the CDI is a AC-CDI system
look around cables and very often , people working on their bike reversed cables around the servo pulley
also remember that the power cannot be reached before 5mns of warming (sometimes up to 10 mns)
also look around the carb & tank tap (good cleaning will cure the problem)
if you are looking for a CI626 Ebay is the best
just have a look at my file https://www.geneva-racibg.ch/~alains/NSRtips.doc
you will find also the right sequence as the pulley is working ____________________ the worst day fishing is better than the best day working |

Since you're all n00bs in this thread I'll just point out the Alains is god of all things NSR, listen to what he says, and if you doubt me just do a search for his posts.
Still got no idea how he knows when an NSR thread pops up though ____________________ I am a bellend, I am a man of constant sorrow, I am a gummy bear, I am a rock. |
