 |
|
OK so ignoring the highside, her riding in this vid just looks 'wrong' to me, but I don't know why.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvUxwHUfTbA
It's like she's hanging off the bike just so she can say she gets her knee down to the floor, but the bike isn't actually leaning that much - not countersteering enough for the corner? Her head stays very upright as well, so she's staying vertical with respect to the floor, and trying to force the bike to lean against her body?
Or am I wrong and she's doing it fine?
Maybe this shouldn't be in 'New Bikers', I'm a long way from this! ____________________ Trev, now a biker?

5:20 onwards.
Buggered if I know, just looks like a typical tw4t off to me, Stacey Implants trying to ride on the road like it's a track and for all we can tell, hitting an undulation, dust or crud.
I'm sure someone will be able to explain it comprehensively, but I'd put the root cause down to "Reach exceeded grasp". ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I think the bike is a bit too big for her - her bodyweight doesn't have enough influence over the balance of the bike.
Also, she is using the public highway like its a race track, and not making allowances for oncoming traffic and surface conditions. ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)

Not an expert, but when I'm cornering like that I drop my inside shoulder and bend my inside arm, which drops my head lower down and makes it a lot easier shifting all the weight lower and to the inside. She's doing the exact opposite, her inside arm looks really stiff on the bars and her shoulder is locked up high, looks really uncomfortable to be honest!
And I've not even got to the crash yet |

Also, shouldnt they have left her helmet on after she crashed? |
I see no reason for them to leave it on, why would you need to? |
Because she's not so cute from the clavicles up?
Having belatedly watched the whole thing, I agree that Stacey is all over the place. She's not picking her line, she's constantly rescuing it until she runs out of luck/skill/bottle (I lack enough of all of the above to determine which it was).
Anyway, from the cluster of blokes manhandling her around, I suspect that wasn't her first time at the Shattered Pelvis Rodeo. https://www.modacity.net/forums/styles/smilies/extra/ohsnap.gif ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

All the driving on the wrong side of the road too never a good sign
At least she has two big airbags to take the impact...
Why shift about so much on a public road? I've got my exhaust sparking on a round-about on a ruddy 50cc scooter, and I didn't have to swing my arse into the air!
The point when her rear tyre starts to overtake her front you know she is coming off. ____________________ Sane: To know when you are doing something crazy. |

Shes riding crossed up and jerking the bike around almost in the corner with braking while moving around.
If you watch the brake light, it nearly always flicks on as she moves to lean off. She doesn't take any sort of line and is always cutting the dirt or middle line.
And she's fugly. ____________________ Previous: GSF600, FZR600 x2, ZXR750, XT600 Tenere, CB125, CZ125, ETZ 250, ER5, CCM R30, DRZ400, RF600x4, RF900x2, GS500, VTR1000F, 640 SMC, CB250 NIGHTHAWK, GT550x3, GPX750 TE610, CB500, X11x2, SV650, ZING 125, TL1000R,CB250 Superdream, CBR1100XX |

Hahaa I think someone has been looking up pootube vids of hot girls on bikes
Seriously though. Ive seen quite a lot of American utube vids of people doing dumb stuff on bikes. Its a country with far more lax regulations around bikes. I once saw this guy on utube with a 250 Ninja doing 0-60 runs on his bike which he says he only bought a few months before and was his first bike. He then proceeds to tool about on this thing on local roads and not once does he or his mate do a lifesaver. Im waiting for his smash up video.
We might find all the training and tests we have to do in the UK a pain but it reduces this kind of "all the gear no idea cock-ups". I wold love to know what her medical bill is. Ive known of people being bankrupted in the US for less injuries than she sustained in that crash. |

It always astounds me how low they get on corners where I'd almost be upright.
I'm not great, but I've scuffed the toes of my boots well enough and got the footpegs of all my bikes against the ground. I never feel like I've got down that low though and certainly not at what look like low speeds round gentle corners. ____________________ current: ducati monster 750
