The new bike!

Picked up my new bike earlier this week, decided to upgrade because I've been getting into my track riding recently and as much as I love riding the FZ6 it was giving me ground clearance issues at Rockingham and the brakes aren't amazing.

It's got 10,061 miles on it, 2000 plate, J1 model.

Custom paint job wasn't done because it was chucked down the road, the lad who owned it before me didn't like the original paint job and often does projects on bikes & cars, saw pictures from the project showing it wasn't crash damage.

Going to add a few BCF, monster and kawasaki decals because I think its a bit plain currently!

That is nice mate, love the look of the racing front fairing, did you put that on there or did it come with it?

It does look nice how it is but I'm a monster whore so will probably put them on!

I put it all on mate, Was an absolute nightmare. Alot tighter than standard fairings. At present the tank, front mudguard, undertray and old wheels are all being sprayed. I was going t have the lot done but because of circumstances I'll be getting a new more competetive bike All sponsered up so I haven't got to pay for much with the new bike in January. I just have to ride the nuts off it and try not to crash.

Ah fair enough, how much did you pick the fairings up for? Might be looking to turn mine into a dedicated track bike next year!

Just added this to one side, started raining again before I had a chance to the other side though, fecking english weather! Looks pretty sweet I think.

It's tidy mate, Just noticed the black frame which I really like tbh. My fairings I got bored waiting for auctions to end so I just bought it off a16plastics for £235. If I'm honest mate I wouldn't use them again, description said 'Fully ready to go white gel coat, no need to even spray' The tail unit is a mess and you can see the fibre glass sheeting because the was so little gel coat put on and the nose cone meeting the belly pan is a little messy and doesn't look like it fits properly.

I'm going to give BB plastics or Demon tweeks a try next time I think. For my track bike I also bought track stickets from eac citcuit I visited and kept all the renthal stickers ect that came with it.
