Do you have a link to the product you bought?

I doubt they will attach to the grips themselves or you wouldn't be able to use the mirrors and throttle at the same time Laughing .

As I have no idea what item you are actually talking about, I would assume it bolts around part of the handlebar not covered by grips, around the bar end or in place of the bar end.

I had to cut the ends out of my grips to fit bar ends. If these are bar end mirrors and the end of your grips are sealed then you'll have to do the same.

Although make sure that your bike even has threaded ends for bar ends first and that the mirrors have the correct size bolt.

You could always cut a small neat hole big enough for the bolt to go in to see first.

I had to cut the whole end off on the throttle size as the bar end would grip the throttle.

not sure how im gonna sort it tbh, the clip on has an expanding bolt to attach it with, but its nowhere near big enough. might have to drill a bit of wooden dowl or something and put it inside the bar end. thanks for the ideas anyway guys

Ah a bar end mirror.

Could you replace the expanding bolt with your own rawl bolt? How about a rubber ring from a bit of hose to bolster the diameter a bit.

yeah sorry for being unclear. i suppose i could use a rawl bolt if i could find one big enough. another problem though is that the hollow in the bar end isnt deep enough to accommodate the length of the expanding bolt, so the mirrors arent flush with the bar end. the hose idea is a good one, i might try that.

sorry to revive this thread again, but i got round the problem, might be useful for reference in future.

Had to buy some smaller bolts, which turned out to be a touch too long. i had to use expanding collars to attach the mirror/bolt/thingy solid against the stay inside the grip to stop the mirror rotating with the throttle. was an absolute arse ache, but got there in the end. (after taking apart saucepan lids to find some rubber washers. Cant beat improvisation!)
