after fitting it i set about balancing the carbs and setting it up correctly, after 30 minutes i couldn't get it balanced and no matter what i did it wouldn't run right on tick over.
after stripping a few bits and pieces out checking all the work i had done i came across a startling discovery, the carbs each had different slides in them......
one was marked up with 74d and the other was marked up with 56c.
looking at them visually no difference but look closely and you can see one is about 5mm longer than the other and one has approximately 10 degrees difference in the cutout.
i looked through my box of carb spares and found i had 2 spare slides one marked with 56c and one marked 74b. so i matched up the 2 56's and within 5 minutes had it all balanced up,
question is which slides should it have? ____________________ "WHAT DO YOU MEAN 100 MPH THATS IMPOSSIBLE Its chinese OFFICER."
