Hi all, i have recently had a problem starting my 400 bandit, it stemmed from getting some crappy watered down fuel from Morrison's
and i got so angry with it running like crap from the fuel i just left it sit for a week or 2.. then when i drained it and cleaned the carbs. It wouldnt start unless you put your hands over the back of the carbs, sprayed starter fluid into it or poured some fuel onto the air filter, once its running it will Idle a little. Everything worked well until i had this crap fuel in it and the fuel in it now is from Texaco so it cant be too bad ?

Ive checked almost everything all the spark plugs are clean and in working condition, the air filter is a bit dirty but removing it does not help. all 4 clamps are on the air box, the mixture screws are all set too 2 turns, and there is no holes in the rubber CV slides. It runs great and revs crisply after 3,000 rpm. But anything below that is pitiful. Any ideas what it is ? do i need to soak my carbs in cleaner, all i did for a clean was remove the jets and blow the lines out with an air compressor. it is clean and i dont think the jets are blocked, i could be wrong though.

I checked the rubber intake boots too, one was leaking a bit where the last owner had jerry rigged it and put a brass line into the boot to run the vacuum on the carb. That is now removed and fixed. Oh and the fuel petcock is gravity fed, it is no longer vacuum fed.
