Ok so back in March I made a post as after cleaning and refitting my carbs they were pissing petrol everywhere! Thanks to the help of the members here I realised the float height was incorrectly set.

Today I finally got round to sorting them out! Fuel flows into the bowls as normal and there is no petrol leakage thank god!

However, the engine will not start. Turns over perfectly but so sign of life. The battery seems to be ok as the front headlight turns on perfectly.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this might be? Before the carb removal a few months ago the bike started first or second kick.

Oh, if it makes any difference the rear light is not connected at the moment.

Much obliged,

Joe

Take a plug out and stick it in the cap, lay on flat part of engine and press the starter and look for spark. Do both sides. If you have a spare plug use that, saves taking your out but you could have a duff plug (doubtfull)

when the plugs are in and everything is connected as it should be you could try a quick squirt of easy start following the directions on the can, if it fires then you would be looking at carb problems
