Another problem I have is the front RH calliper was wrecked when some idiot at ROBSPEED (https://www.robspeed.com/) put both pads on the piston side of the calliper when changing my front tyre and wore the 'fingers' out the other side the first time I pulled the lever and nearly went head long into the arse end of a truck.

I am crap with Alu, and it is cast, so can it the 'fingers' be built up with weld?

dude, is this before or after you lost your licence?

i very much doubt that anyone would be able to fit both the pads on the piston side and get the caliper to fit in place, and even if you could, i doubt anyone would be that stupid. and even if they were, you'd notice pretty damn sharpish and take it back to the place you had the work done and smack them around the head with it till they replaced the caliper.

oh wait......

YOU put them in didn't you.

or......

it never happened.

you are supposedly some sort of master welder, and you are asking rediculous questions about building up cast ally with weld on your brake calipers? maybe you could use some of your imaginary £1k inheritance to buy a new caliper. Rolling Eyes

do the world a favour and quit spouting shit on the net. i'm beginning to get bored. Neutral Middle Finger Middle Finger

It did get stuck a while back, but me and Pernig bled it through and to no avail, then accidently left the bleed nipple open when we went for a pint. Came back and it worked.

Simply coat 'everything that moves' with Welding Flux and TIG it all together.
Sorted. Thumbs Up

I hope this helps. Wink

You don't use flux with TIG, but might try welding it all together lol.
Seems everything my mate put on is bloody loose.

Tried to put my can on yesterday, and the link pipe fell off, that he had put on.
Going to have to go round the whole bike to make sure it is all tight. Don't want the engine to drop out as i'm going down the road. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Who's the 'mate'
Teflon the Non-Stick welder?
