 |
|
If you did Mod 1 & 2 and got the license that was restricted 33bhp, could you say after a year, then do DAS to get unrestricted, or do you have to stay restricted and wait for the whole 2 years as that's your license?
I'm assuming you could, but wasn't sure...
'Cuz like, i'd probably do restricted test because DAS is pricey as fuck but if I got bored after a year, I might be like fuck this, moar powar
Do you 33bhp riders feel like you need more power or is it nice?
I imagine it's a nice transition from a 125
gonna do my tests this year fo sho' ____________________ Fzr-600 1999 |

You can do the accelerated access test provided you're over 21 ____________________ "I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me." Hunter S Thompson

Yeh it's two years or over 21's.
I had a restricted ZXR400 for a while, it's a good progression starting on something like that then when you get used to the speed unleash the power. It does feel a bit gutless, but the restriction is there for a reason, any youngster who goes straight to a thou is bound to have a bad off.
The only bikes I've crashed are <33bhp, if I had the same accidents on something bigger and without the experience of having ridden smaller bikes for a few years I'd probably be dead.
The wait to pass your DAS is certainley worthwhile ____________________ Current: GSXR 750 K6 Previous: R1, R6, ZXR400, NSR125 Next: Ducati 848 or 999 |

Passed my accelerated access last week. Its quite rare I think, examiner screwed up the riding report codes so much he had to start again. I went through a riding school and borrowed a CBF500. Although you can just go for the test, I had a few lessons to get the hang of slow speed stuff again - compared to my 250 the wheelbase was different and I kept having to put my foot down because it wasn't turning as quick as I was used to.
I passed when I was 20 but started earning enough to want something a little bigger/better. Think it cost me £250 for about 6 hours lessons and MOD1&2 - worth it imo because they pointed out little things I probably would have failed on.
Just waiting for my renewal now ____________________ CBF250 '04 - Written Off
