I have similar leg size problems. I would love a supermoto but I don't think I will ever fit on one properly for stop/start urban traffic.

The reference to the cycle-ergo site has been posted before in other threads (I did at least one).

It might be worth having a play on that. You can select foot down in options to see if you're on tip-toes (although you will tend to lean a bike when stopped anyhow).

Link click here and then chose your bike. The Varadero is there under Honda. A 30" inside leg would appear no problem, seat height at 32.2".

The seat on my Zontes Monster is about the same height as the Vara although a little narrower. My inside leg is 31" and I can get both feet flat on the floor. I suspect I would be able to on the Vara too as the apparent size of the 'dero is as much to do with the high bars and upper fairing as it is the seat height.
Only thing is to go sit on one to see Smile

I suspect you'll be fine - it's not as big as it at first appears to be, as has been said, the apparent size is more to do with the fairing than anything else.

From my experience I dont think you'd have any problems with a Varadero.
I'm a 33' inside leg but the set up of the Varadero is pretty forgiving of most shapes and sizes.

I Have a varadero at the moment and i am a 31 inside leg, both feet can touch the ground easy when im stopped, there has been no modifications to my bike which makes it lower (unless 15st in weight counts lol) so i think a 30 inside leg should work no probs..good luck with it if you get one as they are great bikes,

Not forgetting that when stopped you tend to lean the bike to your left anyway, sit half off the seat to give yourself some more leg length/more foot on the ground

29/30" Inside leg and I ride a bike with a 38.3" seat height.

Don't worry about seat height too much.

I'm 5' 8" and can ride the vara quite comfortably with preload set to seven as I discovered the other day. It's not as high as you think.

Funny I hadn't seen any references at all to this site - thanks for the links ! Very interesting as I'm vertically challenged myself and have been thinking about a sports tourer like the Triumph Sprint ST. Sat on one the other week which had the seat contoured for a shorter rider and it felt pretty comfortable even without a lowering kit.
