hi, iv been getting quotes online for new bikes and my cars insurance and to pay monthly would cost a small fortune where as to pay anually in one go has masive saving for example the car would be 3 k the lowest i could find monthly but in one payment 1400 and the bikes is the same just cheaper obviously.

so as im 24 never had a credit card before and dont want to get into that shit id like to get a card where the purchases are 0% interest for say 12-14 months that way i can pay insurances off in full then pay the card off over a year by setting up a direct debit from my normal acount i get paid into.

when the new card comes and i have set the direct debit up id simply burn it so as not to be tempted to use it.

has anybody got any advise good or bad welcome cheers.

Why not simply put X amount away a month so that you're effectively paying monthly, except when you come to renew you have the full amount sitting there in your bank account, ready to be paid.

Of course you need to get started somehow, but that's why I'd do.

Here's the credit cards with interest free purchases:

Credit cards are a good thing for your credit rating, but if you don't have any kind of rating yet or are fairly young then you may not be able to get one of these.
