Meh I'd expect more than £350 for any tax & tested bike,
If you know you can't get a replacement for £350 then tell them so & insist on more otherwise you'll start proceedings against their insured

You must know roughly how much the bike's worth

Do a search on this forum for bike prices. Thing good buyers guide or something like that. Cannot help more as having to type this on phone. Enter your bike and get the ballpark figures.

Hth

ps too low that offer. Worth more as parts?

Challenge them to find a bike of equal pre-accident condition for £350 to substantiate their claim.

You've already been told that you need to do the legwork and find a bike of the same age and general condition, then demand that much from them.

Have you done that?

For my K reg 25,000 miles GS500 I got £795 and kept bike for free.

I would shout at them demanding they review it. Pre accident I'd probably have paid 5-600 for your bike. (Probably, I mean this would have to be "I am desperate I need a bike" etc

Adding stuff to bike doesn't increase its value though.

Adding new plastics to my GSXR didn't affect the sale at all... it just means you lose more

IMO £400 and the bike back seems very low if you're able to show the bike's worth about £1,000...

I'd be insisting for a lot more tbh, and then they'll probably meet you in the middle somewhere.

Jesus dude why make it hard for yourself? As above, if you're showing them bikes worth £1000, why ask for £400 and bike? Ask for £1000, all they can do is say no and then make you an offer substantially below what you asked for, but substantially above what you want.

win.

okay ill change offer to £650 and bike i haven't sent email yet was getting other opinions first.

Listen to everyone !!
Set your offer higher, same way if you are selling your bike, offering at a higher price so people feel they have haggled is better

Isn't it an 80,000 mile bike or something? I'd say you're lucky to get that to be honest.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

If it is actually 80k miles then an offer of £400 and bike I think would be acceptable.
