Had my first (thankfully minor) off the other day, on my 09 CBF125. It was okay, going 15mph around a sharp bend with gravel on the road from resurfacing = skidding embarrassingly. Embarassed Mostly my fault and I won't do it again for a while!

I'm fine, small bruise on knee. Confused Bike came off alright too: fairing on the left side is cracked around the screw near the fuel tank (which I think is bent) but cosmetic, and my gear lever needed to be screwed back on on the roadside, but apart from that the damage SEEMS minimal. Brakes are fine, biting point is in the same place, foot pegs aren't bent or anything but I'l a bit worried that there might be ~more damage.

Is there anything I should check as a matter of course after an off like that? (I'm a total newbie so be gentle! Sad )

Cheers!

Same thing happened to me a few years ago. Slow speed off on gravel. Apart from a scratch or two on one of the silencers the bike was perfectly ok. Thing was I was only wearing jeans at the time and took the meat off my knee almost down to the bone(Very silly thing to do. Always wear proper gear kids ,you know it makes sense). Took weeks for it to heal.
If as you say it was at slow speed it seems unlikely there would be any real damage, but have a close look round the bike for any obvious damage to controls, Brake, clutch levers that sort of thing. And as already mentioned lights. Also no gravel around the front disc that might cause it to jam.

Running through the back of the MoT testing requirements in a Haynes manual would be an ok idea

Make sure that everything that should move, does move, as it should. ie. Wheels, bars, throttle.

Make sure that everything that shouldn't move, doesn't.

Job jobbed. Glad you're alright. You won't do it again, it's easy to learn from mistakes, the trick is avoiding making them in the first place. Thumbs Up
