Did any water get into the airfilter?
and i assume its dried out, but from what you said id say no:)

i suppose you could remove the plug and leave it out .

other than that it could be water in the electricals(time and electronic contact cleaner)

sounds like pure joy!Smile

if all else fails, start and leave to idle for as longs as you can,so to really get the heat going.

Pics of end cone please !

Sounds like its running rich and plug fowling. Try a new plug for a start and get the mixture right.

May have filled the cylinder with water when your engine was on it's intake stroke may have taken in water from the air filter, water not being combustible causing the plug to be wet and not fire.

take the plug out, if you have starter on bike crank it over for 20 seconds and with the spark plug removed look at the cylinder when turning over to see if anything comes out the cylinder. once you have done that, leave plug out and let the cylinder dry and also the plug dry and you should be fine Very Happy Thumbs Up

Hope this helps

Matt

Washing the bike would not have made no difference on your carb setting's, it may have got water in the bowl, that's about it though...
even with to much fuel in your cylinder she will not fire, it will only keep fowling the plug, dry the cylinder out over night and try it in the morning.

Hope this helps

It'll be water ont the plug leads causing a short and crappy spark.

Spray all the electrics between the coil and plug with copious quantities of number forty water displacing fluid (WD40). When this fixes it, you know you need a new HT lead and possibly plug cap

^ this sounds pretty on the money --- if you were getting serious amounts of water in your cylinder, the result wouldn't be difficult starting, it'd be an apparent seizure or possibly even a cracked head/piston/block.

Whereas I've had enough trouble with ageing HT leads in the past, when they've met with excess moisture. Brand new ones are damn near waterproof, old ones are very porous. And can be further damaged by rubbing on exposed hard/sharp parts, I found out earlier (...time to break out the electrical tape and get a fresh lead on order for the cg...)

Keep it simple and start with the air filter.

If it is the airfilter wet of the plug leads damp they should soon dry out if you leave the bike in the sun for a while.
