What sort socket do i need for these ?

Just wondering what sort of socket i need for the clamp nut's and bolt's on my NSR 125, so i can do the head bearing's on them?

The picture is very confusing.
Are talking about the nut in the centre of the picture?
Are you sure you need to remove it?

I'll be honest suspension is not really my sort of area i know a bit about it but this is my first time replacing head bearing's,

where you see the small Gold nut in the center of the picture ( also a gold head to the right of the gold nut is what i think i need to loosen it order to get the stem out, it's a sort of clamp device, with 2 bolts on top and to on the bottom, ( i was told i had to undo these by my local shop ) but i am confused because some one else said undoing the lock nut at the top of the picture would allow the stem to fall out Confused

i really just need to know how it come's out ?

Those ''gold nuts'' look as though they are fixed to the clamping plate and are not meant to be removed. I imagine that if you look to the other side of the clamp then you will see the screw heads that you may need to unfasten.

Remove the castle nut, on the steering stem, the bearing cap should lift off to reveal the bearings.
I wouldn't remove or loosen the other two nuts/bolts until you see if that plate stops you removing the lower bearing shell.

Yeah that's what i was going to do, by the way it's been sprayed gold and with different shape nut's and bolt's suggests it's for show rather than they are meant to be taken off Thumbs Up
