Afternoon, my Sprint's drain hole (the bit that drains rainwater out of the top of the filler cap so it doesn't drop into the tank) is blocked.

Is there a quick way of clearing it out without having to remove the petrol tank? I sprayed WD40 down it last night and proddled around with some electrical wire, but it gets stuck at what feels to be the bottom of the tank, possibly a 90 degree bend.

I have a compressor, is blasting it with compressed air a bad thing? Will it pop any connectors off? Are there any other tricks like drain unblocker that work? Laughing

Ta Thumbs Up

The chemical drain unblocker/cleaners (Mr. Muscle, etc) are actually very harsh acid based. Do not put these near your tank, or any part of the bike for that matter.

Have you tried on the owner forum or even a quick 'phone call to a local dealer?

Find the other end of the hose and follow it up to see it's not pinched anywhere. If it isn't - blast away with the air line.
