Anyone know or care to guess what bike (over 125cc) has sold the most in the UK in the last 20 years?

Hmmm, 20 years is a long time, spans nearly 10 generations of some bikes. To clarify would you include for example all fireblades made in the last 20 years, or count each generation separately?

Do they do anything over 125 - that sells? Just wondering.

The 500, I assume? Being a popular first 'big' bike - and a preference of many schools? Has to be up there, doesn't it.

Hmmm...might have to be separated out if engine configs and frames change (significantly?) w/ each generation. Otherwise we could get in the situation where bikes with different model names and numbers (but with very similar engines/frames) are only counted once - but bikes that are only nominally the same (such as might be the case w/ some blades, etc.) only get counted once. Anyway yeah - good point. I can see how it would get a bit more complicated than it might first appear.

I'd change the title to "over 125" if you don't want to read "CG125" a lot.

Dunno, going by model name, hmm... CBR600F?

MCIA might know, and could possibly even tell you for the right amount of dollah. There's no gubmint figures that I'm aware of.

It does rather depend on what your describe as 'a bike'.
Even the CG changed a fair bit.

GSXR750 might be a good shout if we're talking about a model designation because there's been a bike for sale for the entire 20 years with that designation (CG stopped a while ago, of course), though not sure the 750 has done that well recently.
But then, are we including grey and parallel imports? You can probably still buy a new CG imported from Africa or something.

Similarly if you count 'fireblade', but of course that was also referred to by cbr(X)xxx, which has changed.

Haha yeah. To be fair mine is a proper one. I didn't put Ninja stickers on my ZZR600 when I had it.

The yanks like to call a lot of bikes Ninjas; ZZR600, GPZ500 etc. Guess they're less cynical about tacky marketing than us?
