Hey guys,
My friend has a problem with his srad 600, the clutch was not working atall when he came to it after topping it up with oil, he may have overfilled it and had to drop some out. The bike worked fine over a 25 mile trip home from work, then after about a 45 min rest and oil top up this problem arrived, this makes us think that the oil was overfilled.
Looking over the bike and pulling the clutch in you can visibly see the clutch cover / front sprocket cover bulging outwards.
On closer inspection the case has split

You can try to hold the plate by hand, but there is too much force to keep it 'in tact'.

Any ideas guys??

Thanks

I would go with new/ebay/scrappy rather than trying to weld.

Ok so you guys don't think the same thing will just happen again if I put a new one on? I have an engine sat in my garage from an srad 6 I broke for parts ages ago, I can just take the cover off that and give it to my mate, was worried there may be some sort of seizure problem with the actual clutch. Why would it have broken in the first place?
Cheers

If you put the new cover on, pull the clutch in slowly, you will soon feel if there is something wrong.
