I have been using this for the past year but I am not sure if I am using it properly. I find after just a 100 miles that the chain links look shiny and not lubed. The O rings look fine but I am concerned about wear on the sprockets and chain. Am I applying enough?

If it is the dry stuff then that is how it is supposed to look. I like it a lot.

I've switched to this over the last say 2K miles. It hasn't needed a chain adjustment, stays quiet and seems fine.

I think I've sprayed it four times over that distance.

I know what you mean though it just looks like there's nothing on there.

If you touch a side plate after a run mine does feel tacky and it isn't shiny, more a mat dull colour on the side plates.

I do follow the instructions, shake for 3 minutes first then apply over 2 directions. I also leave it overnight before next using the bike. It appears to be doing the job only time will tell but at about £125 for a chain kit it could be an expensive mistake!

I use Wurth Dry Lube. It is a low-build wax lubricant that doesn't attract dust or other shit/debris and as such it prolongs chain and sprocket life. Because it is ''dry'' it has the advantage of not dipping all over the floor of the garage/shed/kitchen. It penetrates and adheres to the chain best if you apply it after a run out whilst the chain is relatively warm. I give it a big Thumbs Up

I started out using dry lube, but wasn't overly impressed, seemed to need applying quite often.

I got hold of a free can of Castrol chain wax and its pretty good. Makes the chain quite greasy though.
