Hi I'm new to this but having problems with my honda h100a the stator generator was producing to much elec and so I bought a new/second hand one and fitted it now it won't start has a weak spark I boughht new spark plug/regulators rectifiers etc and juist a faint spark won't start any ideas???? Ta

put the old one back in.

by saying too much electric, i assume you mean over charging?

if so the regulator is shot and you replaced the wrong component, so its not the stator

If that was missing the flywheel would turn in relation to the crank and the timing would be all to cock.

Although if unless it was hardly spinning then there would still be some output.

This.

As a general rule of thumb*, running at ~5k RPM, warm engine:
>14.5v = reg/rec problem
<13v = stator problem

*It's only a rule of thumb. I had <13v but it was a problem of a poor connection between the reg/rec and the electrical system rather than either of the components.

On my bike one morning it had 'slipped' a tiny bit and the bike 'worked' but wouldn't actually start.

When my RXS100 had a shot regulator the battery was getting 20V

That was before I did the 12v conversion.
