As the title.

Chain snapped. Luckily the bike and I seem to be fine. The chain/sprockets had only done about 1000 miles, maybe a little more or maybe a little less.

Can I stick with my sprockets with no bad effects or should I buy some more?

Ta.

Have a look at them. If they're in good nick then keep them - if they're worn buy new. Oh - and chain lube helps. Wink

Replace the sprockets, replacing just the chain is daft, they cost about £20 for new Renthals.

it depends on what cause the chain to snap.
if the sprockets are the problem or were damaged as a result of the chain snapping, then you definitely need to replace them.
Have a look at the sprockets, if they look fine put a new chain on, lube it up and give it a good check over.
check the chain for any loose or tight spots. i once had a bike which ate chains due to a a mysterious tight spot Confused
