 |
|
I'm not really well versed in information regarding motorbikes, so by signing up here i hope to get some advice from the veterans of the board! [hopefully]
In the last few months i travelled spontaneously through Europe making it to asia, but i felt that it wasn't really the best way to see the world, so i've decided to work for a few months, get a bike and head-off east into the sunset, to really see the world. [theres no solid plan, i'll just drive and drive] I love life on the road, not knowing where your going to sleep each-night or which magical people your going to run into, the only problem is, i'm not sure which bike.
I've been looking at the Honda C90 as well parts are extremely available so if i have any problems its very likely i can get them fixed cheaply and quickly, the bike can i hear get up to 300 miles a gallon, although some work is required for this [don't quote me!] there's room on the back for belongings and all round its a very reliable bike for under £1000.
The problems bemoaned to me are generally not the hugest issues, as i'm sure i can make my way around [I think] is the unavailability of being able to drive on Motorways, and also the top speed of 50 MPH, which is really no problem compared to the former as i'm in no rush at all.
But the positive is i don't need a full motorbike license for the C90, Just a CBT, I Think.
So what are my other options?
Hopefully i can get some in-depth answers with some possible ideas for other bikes.
Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance!

I've had both a C-90 and a CG125, and I'd recommend the CG given the choice..
However, a friend of a friend has recently ridden a C-90 from Malaysia to the UK I think, and had a great time by all accounts.
A friend's son rode his CG to Morocco this summer, and back again!
Parts for both are easily available throughout Europe and Asia...They still build CG's in Turkey and Asia, under various names. Loads of both here in Myanmar...
You WILL need a licence though.
Finding a good CG for under a grand? Hmm, dunno, but you'd certainly find a C-90 for that price though. learners seem to like the CG
Anyway, don't let the doomsayers on here put you off! Good luck, and go for it! ____________________ '93 Africa Twin RD07, C-90,MTX-125,H-100,XL-125, a 125UAG(CG copy!) |
