So my boss at work suggested selling me a chinese scooter for ridiculously cheap.
So as a project i'm thinking of buying it and trying to fix it to learn how some things work. I've never done anything like this aha~
Its been left there for over a year outside in the back of the shop, not much rust apart from around the exhaust bolts and such, the battery is flat.
EDIT: Rust from where i can see! i have no idea what's going on under the plastics.
I don't know what it's meant to run like, but I started it up not so long ago, tried to run it.. each gear sounds like it's SCREAAAAMING out for another gear, and downshifting the scooter jerks a bit.. I know it hasn't been run for a while so yeah.
Basically, if you were in my position what things would you check/do to this scooter? I'm a noob at this
*I will get pictures out after my shift tonight if it helps?*

to be honest unless you got it for nothing, there not worth throwing money at,
as a tool to learn on bikes, you will get plenty of practice,
things to check!
engine mountings- they tend to break allot on Chinese things
electrical connections- suffer very badly with corrosion
check frame for rust, if it starts rusting and is left un treated you have had it
everything else is pretty standard
service regular
keep on top of brakes and suspension etc etc ____________________ "WHAT DO YOU MEAN 100 MPH THATS IMPOSSIBLE Its chinese OFFICER."
