Tis a good book, 10 mins a night is the way to do it. I think (as long as you have at least average ability) a lot of it comes down to luck on the day! ____________________ Malaguti F12 Phantom-Dead, Suzuki AY50- Dead, NRG power DD LQ, CBR125.

Would just like to say thanks to Clutchy for the advice in the main post. I picked up a copy of the book, read it several times and I've just passed both modules first time with no training schools used.

What I meant was that anyone over 24 years who wants to do DAS has to use a big bike (600 cc 45mkw minimum) to do both mod 1 and mod 2. As a learner cannot insure or legally ride a bike over 125cc then there is no way around paying for DAS training with a riding school.
Or is there another way? |

Bikesure will cover you on your provisional entitlement, conditional on you getting licensed up within (IIRC) 3 months or so.

Or an examiner.
Now, I'm not saying that it's either free or easy to do it strictly legally, but you can still buy your own 'A' test bike, practice on it on private land, get it to the test centre legally (van, trailer, licensed and insured chum rides it in) and pass the tests yourself without involving a training school.
It's 595cc+ and 40kW+, by the way.
But really: Y U bump this? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
