Ok, so I should be picking up an XJ 600 on thursday. It has no exhaust fitted and as such I need one.

I've been offered a set of XJ 400 pipes cheap, does anybody know if they fit the bike?

Thanks!

A glance at the specs, the xj400 has a shorter stroke (47 vs 55.7mm) so even if the pipe will mate up to the ports it may not clear the sump, bottom of the engine etc etc).

**edit** cant find any part numbers for the 400 to compare.

Hiya, Happy New Year to you.

Did you get the bike/zorst mated up?

I don't know if they would be a direct fit as previous poster suggested, but I would have thought that the smaller bike would have a smaller bore to the pipe and as such give you a restricted flow, reducing power.

Personally, I think you are going to have to bite the bullet and get a new one for the 6

Sorry

Mike

cant see it due to xj400 being cb400 size, and the 600 being similar size to a cb600
