32 years after parting with his BSA Super Rocket, a motorcycle fan bought it back - for 100 times more than he sold it for.
John Biggs, of Bristol, sold the 650cc bike for £28 when he and his wife Chrisy got married in 1967 to raise money for a deposit on their home.
John, who is 59, saw his 1959 machine again at a vintage motorcycle club outing and asked the owner for first refusal if he decided to sell the bike.
He had to wait another year for the bike's owner Paul Withers to decide to sell. John said: "I sold it for £28 but when I bought it back you could add two noughts to that. It was £2,800 because it was in very good condition."

Shocked Strange things happen
Anyone ever had a bike they'd buy back?

A Honda CLR 125. I actually brought it back twice after selling it. She is not tucked safely away in my back garden never to be sold again. Very Happy

My Dads mate Glen. When he was younger he built a Triumph triple for racing and was no slouch on the track, dicing with some of the professionals. Don't know why he sold it, but years passed and a bad road accident left him in a wheelchair. Two years ago he saw his old racer advertised, and just for old times sake he went to look at it. He was amazed to find the last person to have ridden it was him, some 20-30 years earlier! He thinks the bloke who bought it must have taken it out and scared himself, then put it away again. He has just finished a complete rebuild, changing things that he bodged up when he first built it, like proper footpegs instead of odd bits of steel rod. Now looking for someone to race it in classic bike races I think!
