Hi all

My CBR has been doing it quite a bit lately, starting it up early morning, it's turning over but back fires LOUD and was wondering what might cause this?

It sometimes stutters and coughs when riding too if I accelerate quick.

Read a topic below about replacing the rec (have done in past)

Wern't sure if it was something to do with a job I'm doing soon (Valve clearances and new spark plugs) - not touched in 6 years of ownership Embarassed

Cheers Karma

Loose or dirty plugs can cause hard starting and backfiring.

Yep! I had the same issue with my CBR, eventually I changed the spark plugs and everything went back to normal.

Take them out and see how they look, also check and make sure the spacing is correct.
