When people set up pits at club racing events, most of them use a gazeebo for working on the bikes in. One of the ones with the scissor joints you can just extend and telescope the legs down on rather than one with a frame you need to assemble.
The valves on a normal VFR750 are easier to do than the ones on a CBR6. Once the airbox and tank is off, the rocker covers are just looking at you and the gear driven cams just unbolt and lift off. Also they don't need doing, I checked mine at 50k miles and they were all in spec. I believe the VTEC ones are more of a hassle.
The CBR6 is all accessable and it's a fairly straightforward job but the alloy frame ones have a cross spar that is in the way of almost everything. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

Any delays will come if one of more of the shims do need changing and you have to wait for parts. just checking though doesn't require huge effort compared to changing (some bikes like my FZ are 'cams out' to change which is a royal PITA). ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750, SL1000
