hi there,
i have a 1989 model honda ns125f and in need of a few panels which i cannot find!
i only paid peanuts for this bike so i was wondering, seen as though i cant find the panels would it be worth getting a different bike preferably a road legal crosser (something like a DTR) and dropping the engine in to a different frame?
Does anyone know of any bikes similar where the engine would fit?
Thanks a bunch |

Thanks for the quick reply,
I've had the bike roughly 3 months now and every other day I look on eBay and search on Google, but nothing has come up, whenever i search the honda nsr always comes up. Do the NSR and NSF have the same panels?
I'm trying to keep my options open as to restoring the nsf but if i can't find parts i'd rather try putting engine in to something different, I will have a look to see if i can find a MTX cheap, wanting it road legal too
Thank you |

Hi
NS and the NSR are very different bikes (it gets confusing as there is an NS125F and NS125R as well as the NSR125F and NSR125R). The bodywork isn't interchangeable.
Which panels are you after? The rear side panels are 10 a penny, small front side panels are fairly uncommon but do turn up (but shouldn't stop the bike being used). The NS125F fairing is fairly common while the NS125R full fairing is rare as anything, but might be easier to source a GRP copy. But that is very hard to find is the little piece that goes behind the seat.
All the best
