So much for my Scarborough plans! Wonderful.

The dreaded FI light, just thought I'd share my misery, this is my worst day so far this year. (For other reasons as well).

They sent me the wrong chain earlier in the week when the bike WAS working. The bike doesn't work on the one weekend I plan to do something, and maybe an asteroid will hit me just to finish it off?

Ah yeah I remember the chain and sprocket, an asteroid has been already I think but not big enough to break into the atmosphere or something, so you can cross that one off.
You can safely say you won't be winning the lottery this weekend Laughing

My back brake pads have just declared themselves fucked. So i've pushed back pistons so massive gaps on either side of the disk and just avoid using back brake lol.

Great idea, lets hope your pads don't fall out.

Thanks for those codes - I knew it was codes C24 and C25 as I've had this problem before, it's a wiring fault, some poor connection block (I hope) as it's happened before, but I fixed it as it was unplugged.

Since the rain, damp and snow, something's gone awry. Checked the coils by swapping them and still the same error code. I could do with cutting the connectors off and joining the wires together (just a 1-pin connector). Any ideas? Some kind of junction box?

This is the wire that fixed it originally for months. It comes from the negative terminal on the battery, connects to the other wire, and the other wire disappears into a thicker loom.

I believe, by the wiring diagram that this could be an earth? Maybe routed through the thicker loom to the front of the bike somewhere? I should also note: when the bike cuts out, and I have two new bulbs in, it blows one or more of them.

Should we judge peoples competence to fix their bike by the quality of their photos? 90% of the images in workshop are blurred through the use of a potatocam.

Wink

It does sound like an earth problem. Are the blown bulbs generally at the front or rear? Just unplug the connector, spray contact cleaner brake cleaner or carb cleaner in there, reconnect and cover in dielectric grease to stop it happening again.

To be honest it is hard to make sure contacts are clean, I tend to disassemble really dodgy connections so that I can get to the metal contact and then clean it with a small file.

haha. Blackberry, what can I say? Razz

The connectors are a bit warped - looks like one of them was sat on something hot. so I don't think they stay tight and solid.

Going to try a junction connector and proper fix later when I can USE the bike.

Sounds a bit bodgey but have you tried squashing the connector with a pair of pliers?

Changed the connector, much cleaner connection than before now.

Still cut out on me. Pulled the power commander 2 off, and it hasn't cut out now...
