I bought a WR250F to do some light green laneing just before christmas and decided i needed to up the game a little.

After watching more and more enduro racing videos and extreme enduro events i decided it was time to give it a shot. I had also seen many videos recorded on go pro with the statement "Be a Hero". Booooyakasha i like this shit.

Luckily for me i have Tong off-road center which is well know in the off-road world and often the worlds best riders turn up and take part in events held there.

So i kitted up this morning at 9:00 and turned up and found it was a private event but luckily the nice lady let us pay our £25 for the day to use the tracks. We then had a nosey round every ones bikes and realized that we may be a little out of our depths as they had some amazing looking bikes and my mate had a nakered TTR250 and i had a WR250F.

Anyway, i borrowed my brother go pro again as if i was to die, i would at least want some good footage.

Every one started their engines and we were waved to the front by one of the marshals, oooooohhhhh shit. There were about a pack of 15 bikes all about to race round an extreme enduro course and we blagged our way when signing forms telling them we had loads of experience ect...... ect..... Then the moment dawned upon me that i did not have a clue what i was doing and had a set of bikes sat behind me ready to jump off small cliffs and jump across small rivers.

The problem for me at this point was the most extreme thing i have ever done is go through a puddle fast in Tesco car park.

I am in the process of uploading some photos and videos from the day that give you an idea of what it is like.

I will be honest at this point, it did not all go to plan and if it was not for people watching me i would have never done any of the things i did on the bike. When we started the course i looked at it and thought fook that nobody can ride a bike over that terrain. Then realized you cant turn round on the course as you may smack head on into someone doing 70 mph 6 foot off the ground.

This is how my day started. More footage to follow.

For those of you are interested, they do an extreme enduro practice the last Sunday of each month and its £25 per bike and runs 9:00 till 3:00. You need a good bike, with good tyres and bones made of steel.

This was the easiest route and gives you an idea what the area is like. On the harder rated routes i was just getting stuck and and shattered.

I am going to see how to upload in HD before uploading any more.

Is it? looks crap at my end, think you have to wait a few hours normally after uploading until youtube sorts out the quality properly. It was recorded in 720p anyway

Very jealous of that facility btw, we have some lanes around here but nothing like that. Thumbs Up

I recognise a fair few bits as places I've been when going off roading in Land Rovers with my uncle,

I learnt to drive at Tong!

Yea you do; have a look at 'enduro land' - they have locations pretty close to you I think.

Want to have a play at Tong - do you have any video from the harder routes?

Thought, well out of practice and think me dodgy-wrists are still dodgy, so probably be a bit useless still Sad.

Just so you know, this isn't an "extreme" enduro.

I'm thinking the 'hard' route may be from the extreme enduro stuff they have there?

I know that, when i did the route classed as extreme it took about an hour and was about 1/2 a mile. Cant be arsed uploading an hour of me face first i muck 50% of the time and pulling a bike out of a bush or hole 49% of the time and maybe riding the other 1%

This is the extreme stuff i attempted after about 30 seconds of practice. Well worth a watch.

Well, we do have a place called Devils Pit but there's no mention of bikes allowed. Confused

Your video looks cool, I could ride my XR round there I think.

I couldn't do the stuff in the second video Eddys Extreme Enduro, I'd just fall off. Laughing

Or there's an enduro practice events company called enduroland, which is specifically aimed at bikes.

awesome way to spend a sunday!

I love all this extreme enduro stuff, it's just like a faster version of trials riding, without the gaps standing still between sections and plenty of places to go full throttle!
