Have a zz400 is not running right when i give it throttle in 1st gear or second in bogs and then goes i have
cleaned and balanced carbs
new spark plugs
checked the ignition coil each reading at 7v
the left coil pack i tested with spark plug and it was a light spark and not as fast and as bright as the right coil pack
New battery as well
Any ideas Whats wrong ?

Is it worse when its hot? if it is it could be running too rich. not much help sorry.

no mate the carbs were set to stock when they where cleaned out

Pilot Screw "Stock" Settings are baseline.. Doesn't mean it's correct

Apparently mines are supposed to be 1¼ turns out, but that is way too lean.

I actually have mines out 1¾ turns

Are they fuel screws or air screws?
(Engine side or air box side of the carburettor)


I'm gonna presume they are fuel screws though, Try turning them in ½ a turn each which should lean it out.
