Good luck. Thumbs Up

Don't fall off. And go easy on the gears (downshifting), I performed a wheelie on a mini roundabout when I took my CBT. Totally shat my pants.

nah,

you don't need to as you've got a basic knowledge on how to use the road.

I didn't even brush up on it for my bike theory test 12 years after passing my driving test. did a couple of online mock tests and was good to go - more worried about hazard perception as I'd never done it before.

Get theory test booked in and done so that you can get on and get your full licence Smile

don't forget to cancel your indicators!

My CBT consisted of my instructor over the radio;

"David, Don't forget to cancel your indicator"

"David, you forgot to cancel your indicator"

"David, It's like a mobile disco back here"

"Your scooter is a 4 stroke isn't it Helen? must be, you've slowed down on the hill. Some people bum 2 stokes all day long, the smell of Castrol R etc etc, I don't miss being covered in oil all day long following them....

...David, cancel you're bloody indicator"

"David, you know what I'm about to say"

"David...

...almost remembered that time didn't you"

and so on.

Yes, "Have you any advice?" and "can you advise me?" Spot the difference Laughing

Well you did say any advice welcome, actually you didn't, but you know what I mean.

CBT wise, I'm sure you'll do fine, just relax and listen to what the instructor is telling you Thumbs Up

Just remember that you're paying for 7 hours of training, not to listen to stories, be ranted at, or sent home after 4 hours and told you need to to pay more if you want the rest of your time.

<were-all-doomed.jpg>

Wrap up warm. Seriously, more layers than you imagine you could possibly need.

I will keep that in mind, I'm expecting a full day Wink

I will be wearing long johns, bike leather trouser, bike jacket (with under clothing) balaclava, scarf and nice thick leather winter gloves Thumbs Up also a rucksack stuffed with waterproof over trousers and a hi vis waterproof coat. I hate the cold so taking no chances.

Deffo wot Roger said. Keep seeing a lot of posts going on about being shouted at, or getting crappy training from people who've had a bad experience on their CBT. Remember, you are paying them for training, you are the customer.

Saying that, most CBTs go swimmingly smooth, so chuck any nerves in the bin and the best advice; enjoy it.

Everything that went wrong during my CBT was pure nerves. And I'm sure you won't have that, having been driving for years! Have a good time.
