Just wondering if I should use the spray adhesive or use clout nails that you use for roofing felt.

The shed is 12 x 7 and I have a huge roll of 3mm thick vinyl.

The base is made out of 18mm exterior plywood.

Posh shed I know Rolling Eyes

Binge used adhesive on his van to stick carpet to everything so I don't see why it wouldn't work on your plywood?

Me, I'd go with nails I reckon - but I always try and think ludicrously far ahead. As in, any shed I buy I always imagine burning it at some point in the future (we're not on the gas main - so anything wood-derived goes on t'fire eventually). Now if it was all stuck down it'd be a bastard to get off again - whereas a few nails should probably pull up, depending how much welly you give 'em on the way in. Anyway, even if you're not into burning small impermanent structures, nails might (?) give you a bit more flexibility if you wanted to take the shed apart and move it at some point. *shrugs*

I would use a light amount of glue and some nails with battons around the edges.

I'd use staples. The job will be done quickly, effectively and they will be easy enough to remove should the need arise.

Use this, with a small notch glue trowel, maybe 0.7mm teeth spread, but not 10kg of it, get a smaller tub
https://www.polymax.co.uk/rubber-adhesive/mapei-vs90-adhesive

First off, cut the floor in till you are happy, then at the entrance to your shed put something heavy on the floor to stop it shifting, then roll the floor back about half way and fold it over and keep it low to the floor when you roll it back or you will crease the floor.

Sweep the floor as best as you can and sweep the back of the flooring as well, you don't want stuff stuck under it. Lay the glue out you don't need a lot at all just good even coverage, glue up the fold and then obviously fold the floor back onto the glue, at this point you really want to use a floor roller little hand held one will do and you want to roll the floor flat and check that there are no air bubbles, get low and look across the floor. If you see an air bubble you need to push it out or the floor will lift.

Move heavy object to the bit you have just glued and repeat all the above for the second half of the floor, don't forget you need to work out the shed but also you need to roll the floor back over.

On that link the adhesive spreader on the right of the page should do
Hand roller

yes it is expensive, but it will look good and it will last don't nail or staple it down, it will look awful, it will lift and you can tear it if you get it caught.

I used clout nails for mine, with silicone sealant round the edges. It's a shed, not an operating theatre.

In the end I bought some evostick adhesive spray and this stuff STICKS Smile

I'll use clout nails in the future if it comes away.

Think i'll get a carpet strip for the entrance as this might start coming away very soon.

Cheers everyone.
