NOPE it is you being a douche Very Happy
the oil level is correct....sitting on the top line (it doesn't loose any between services either)
The bike is on the side-stand (albeit with a bit of wood under the foot of the stand so as not to mark the path)...you measure the oil level with the bike Upright.

Thank you...I really do love her Very Happy

how many miles has it done? cant be a lot by the looks of it. Or your just really good at looking after it.

I'd quite like to buy a bike from new and keep it looking pristine, but i'm not sure i could find one i'd be happy to keep for more than a few years.

street triple would be my best bet i think, everyone seems to be going mad for them at the minute

She is sitting on about 12k. (I've always had other bikes, cars at the same time as her so mileage gets shared around)

Yes I look after her very well, she does get ridden in the wet on occasion, but has NEVER seen road salt.

btw
I spent this years isle of man TT on the back of a 1050 Sprint...great bike, cracking sound to it...liked it a lot actually.

I'd definitely consider a three cylinder Triumph as a 2nd bike.

It's a guy thing.

My bike is a she. She is the love of my life (though she drives me insane sometimes)

My woman is actually an object.

Probably why i'm single now.

Awesome 'blade mate. wish my bike looked as good as that Rolling Eyes

Be prepared for a LOT of issues if it's an RRY model instead of an RR1 based on the paint scheme.

Here's a laundry list of problems on mine.

1) 3x regulator rectifiers, along with 3 sets of batteries and 2 burnt out alternators. Sickpup off here suggested I get a mosfet rectifier off an 09 R1 (shindingen - ebay MOSFET regulator/rectifier and you'll get them from the states for less than £100 including connectors to wire DIRECTLY TO YOUR BATTERY thereby passing any faulty section of wiring looms)

2) Cam position sensors can go with NO warning. It doesn't provide you with a fault code on the dash, so you'll be left with a bike that has all the electrics working, but with a motor that won't spin up.

3) Camcahins will rattle about 30k miles.

Get yourself singed onto fireblades.org if you need any questions on mechanical issues.

Anyway, here's my 44k miler hardcore winter hack - for the last 3 years, it lived outdoors, but nobody would guess that it's done 44k miles and ridden in winter!

wheeze that is clean worth a lot of money in that condition in comparison to all the other's out there.

i had one of these, fantastic colours i think and the oil is fine its on its side stand hence why it looks empty.

however
OP: should the oil be in the middle of the top/bottom like not on the top line ?

doubt it makes much difference just saying Thumbs Up

I don't call my vehicles she.

I always cringe when people do. Have a wank and get some clarity.

Totally agree.

Chucking my bike down the road, my initial thought was "oh no, my bike is wrecked".

That changed very quickly to "I'm rolling along the oncoming lane with a car heading towards me. I'm dead." I was 100% convinced I was getting run over.

My bike went from one of the most important things in my life, to something which I no longer cared about in a fraction of a second.

That put all my lumps of metal into perspective for me. They're not important enough to personify.

I recently did the complete Flapper valve removal and had the custom map tweeked to suit.

she's now 132bhp (was 130bhp last time She went on the rollers about 10years ago and with better midrange too...tuner commented that she was running very well and putting out good figures for a 929) and the induction noise is sexual Twisted Evil

Had a good couple of hours on her.

For example my 'Busa girls, they're definately female.
