You shouldnt have any problems with previous experience, you'll find that you slide back into the routine within 1/2 an hour.
Might be worth posting your area/location so people can give advice on good training centres and instructors |

Hi there
After a 18 year rest I got back on a bike, did my CBT and got a 125. Then did my DAS, I found the Bigger Bikes much better, better brakes, better suspension, much easter to control at low speed and higher speeds. In all the Big Bike was easier to ride then a 125 lol. ____________________ Lexmoto Street 125 (sold) - Kawasaki ZR7S |

If you're willing to travel in to Hinckley, there is a good one that Mike told me about. I didn't use them in the end as I couldn't afford it at the time, but Mike gives them good reviews:

Down the A5, Hinkley Rider Training Scheme.
As for the rest; dont expect car driving to give you any great advantage; pre-existing knowledge has as many disadvantages as advantages; we all learn at our own rate; if you already drive, just means you need to learn different things.
Biggest probs for long term car drivers are breaking car driver habbits of being mirror dependent, and forgetting to cancel indicators... though some do forget other stuff, like putting thier feet down when they stop.... and even had a student reach for a hand-brake!
5-Days? - its do-able, but it only gets you a licence, bia emersion learning; how much is useful other than passing test, and how much of it sticks once out of the micro-bubble is mutable.
Hinkley DONT do intensive training.... its weekly lessons.
Get a 125, do some time on one after CBT, to practice what you are tought in lessons each week, you'll progress reasonably fast and learn a lot more, and it will be cheaper.
See webby... kink in sig below. ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!

I was 52 when I did my DAS after a 26 year break.
If you nip down the A3 to Pompey you could use 1st Castle, as I did. Really good school.
Good luck with it. ____________________ 22PlusY
