Decided that as summer was coming up i needed to get rid of the KLX250 dirt/commuter bike as it was a really boring cheaply made bike that i had no use for really. It was just taking up space in the garage.

I have spent the last 2 weeks reviewing every single motorcycle listing on ebay at 11:30 till 12:30 each night. I found that ebay is flooded with dealers selling over priced bikes.

I noticed a bike last night that had been listed at 21:00 and it seemed to be a real good deal and i knew some one would click buy it now within a few hours so i called the guy asap gave him £50 via paypal as a deposit for the bike so he could end his advert.

Only issue now was that i had to set off at 5:00 in the morning to get the bike and needed some cash so i went round every member of my family and collected everyone's bank cards at sat outside a cash machine at 11:55 and withdrew the £300 daily limit on all cards and then at 00:05 i did the same which left me with enough cash to get the bike.

So i wanted something sporty, 100+ BHP, post millenium and not an sv.

This is what i ended up with.

I took a good selection of snaps to show the condition if i ever need to send photos off to an insurance company should a terrorist knock me off the bike again in Bradford.

Can you see the mark on the bottom of the lower fork, makes me think the bike may have been down the road at some point.

The previous owner removed a power commander, full titanium race system, quick shifter, steering damper, some flashey rear shock and a few other bits. Tempted to make him an offer but i think he wants a grand for it all :ponder:

I did 100 miles on it today and it all worked fine. It did not seem as much 'on rails' when it comes to handling like my brothers 03 cbr600RR that i have had a few goes on and when giving it some beanz the front end went light quite often so i think a steering damper is a must.

It the first time i have used a road bike for 6 months and i have picked up loads of bad habits riding the dirt bike. At low speed i want to stick my feet at supermoto style which must look odd to people watching. I also kept forgetting to cancel he indicators due to the dirt bike having none and often ended up indicating and also sticking my arm out to signal.

I also forgot how much distance you can cover in such a short period of time on a sports bike, its freaking rapid :cloud9:

Might go to squires at some time tomorrow to pose now its clean. :gay:

Stunningly clean R6 there! I do really prefer these shape ones over the current less attractive ones, and having the USD front end and Radial Monoblock brakes makes it better than the earlier models!

In short it's probably the cleanest nicest R6 I've seen for years, but then I don't exactly get out much!

Unless you ask how much he wants for it, its pointless pondering about them, I would of thrown extra notes at him for those extras regardless!

Went for a hoon round the Dales with my brother to see what needs tweaking on the bike. At legal speeds the bikes perfect at non legal speeds i would presume that the bike would need a steering damper and suspension set up. It looks like the previous owner had actually set all the suspension up too its softest so it was not that bad for the road.

I love this model of the RR, still looks bang tidy for what is a 10 year old bike!

Good set of comparison pics there . . .

Yamaha is better looking in every single one. Very Happy Thumbs Up

I may be just a little biased . . . but still true.

Guess and then knock about a grand off and you will be somewhere close. Its got 11k and is on a 56 plate. The guy a bought it from bought it brand new for £5199 so was not clued up on its value in my opinion.

Yer can you let me know his details and i will give him a call. Anybody ever been to the bike garage near the sweeping corners at Leeds Bradford airport, it always has loads of bikes parked outside on a Saturday but not sure what its called.
