I am currently having trouble with the latch/locking mechanism of an exterior UPVC door. The handle is ''drooping'' slightly and is failing to dissengage the latch from the keep.
What I need to know is is this an easy thing to fix? Can the latch be repaired/replaced or do I need to replace the entire muli point locking mechanism?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

You can buy parts for most upvc doors, even from b&q.

If you know the supplier you should be able to get it from them but a lot of items fit other makers doors

The gearbox mechanism inside the door can be hit or miss, they like spewing their internals out or cracking the spindle (monkey metal). They used to rivet them on and a whole new mechanism would need to have been bought but most of the ones I come across nowadays have a screwed on gearbox. If that’s the case then take it off and pop it to a locksmiths or somewhere like B&Q and they’ll match it…hopefully. There are so many different ones out there it’s unreal. If you can’t leave the gearbox out of the door then trace around it and re-fit. Make notes of any brands or numbers on the face plate as this helps massively.
