Hi guys,
i recently bought a gpz that had been stood fora couple of years. I rode home on the motorway doing 80 and it overheated and melted the sparkplugs.
i tried to start it, but because the spark plug cap melted it just wasnt catching.
when getting home, the battery was flat but had enough power for headlights. i put the battery on trickle charger for some hours, reconected, and now im not getting any power at all to the bike.....not neatural light, headlight, nothing.
I checked the fuse box and the 20amp is blown (which i have ordered more on ebay). but im thinking it could be the 30 amp main fuse aswell possibly, but have trired for approx 2 hours to locate to no avail.
what is the 20amp fuse used for in the bike, and could replacing that alone give me back power?
another thing, ive also tried jump starting off a car, and push & bump start, with not so much as a turnover.
the carbs have now been stripped and cleaned, so just need to located this 30amp and get her running again.
pictures would help but realise not many people own this particular bike anymore, but im hoping most gpzs have same location of main fuse. |
