Evening all,
I currently have a 2009 ER6F which I am looking to sell to help fund a new bike.
The insurance on the ER6 is stupidly high as I am 19 and to be honest I fancy a change.
The ER6 was a cat C write off from the previous owner and is currently worth around £2000.
I quite like the look of a bandit 600 which for £2000 I could purchase and insure.
So my question is what other bikes should I be adding to my list to have a look at, would quite like a IL4.
Do you think a CBR400 would be too much of a downgrade?
Insurance on a Hornet is quite high so that's out
Thanks,
Michael |

Why is your insurance so much? Are you fully comp or TPFT? ____________________ My Flickr |

Insurance shouldn't be too much on a Bandit, check out Bandit 1200 insurance
I ran a quote today for a Daytona 675, 06/07 model. 1/2 what I pay for the CBR600RR
Bandit 1200, CB400SF, SV650 all give cheap quotes. |

Perhaps you are looking at this the wrong way round.
My ER-6F was the cheapest bike I've insured, 250 Scooter was more, CBF125 was more (admittedly initial policy taken out when I'd just passed CBT) 9/2012, passed test 10/2012.
£93 Added onto my CaroleNash policy for my Scooter, which was £130 at inception. Initial Policy 2/2012 and adjustment 4/2012
I have no experience, no NCB and live in London. 3 Points. 1 Car at fault accident (annoying that car NCB doesn't count, but accidents in a car do). Everything against me. Yet the ER-6F was dirt cheap. Go figure! ____________________ Currently: Yamaha DT 125 LC2,Repsol Fireblade, and Bumblebee MSX 125 |
