The Speedo/Odometer problem failure requires the speedo cable to be replaced, but the Rev counter will be an electrical problem either down to corrosion in the connector block of the wiring loom or possible at reg/rec end of it where it connects, but you could have a faulty rev counter needing replaced? So disconnect connections and spray with WD40 to drive out moisture/crap shortening it.

You could go to MOT except I am not sure if you could be failed on the that or it will be an advisory note depending how serious the fail will be or get through by the skin of it's teeth!

The speedo is not tested (or required) for the MOT, but is a legal requirement for road use.

Clicky for VOSA MOT guide.

List the faults to give you some advice if cheaply fixable or not?
